Dear All,
Nice to join this forum.
I manage the IT dept from a medium-sized company.
Here we still use an application developed in Borland Delphi.
It accesses one PC in the LAN to connect to the Borland Socket Server.
All laptops we use here have got Windows 10 Enterprise 64 bits.
Curiously, this application works in any of the laptops except in mine.
When I launch the application, the following error is shown:
"Exception ESocketConnectionError in module dsnapcon70.bpl at 0000A0D7. Error reading from socket"
- I confirm that I'm connected to the same LAN as my colleagues.
- I don't have any antivirus installed
- The Windows firewall is disabled
- I'm connected to the same domain as my colleagues
- I can access the IP where the Borland Socket Server is located
- Running it as "laptop domain" administrator throws the same error.
- Reinstalling the application throws the same error
- I confirm I have read and write access to the folders where the I have installed the application
I have been looking around the web, but I don't find the solution to this issue. Do you know why I get this error?
Kind Regards,
