Excell MSO97.DLL page fault error

On one of the workstations (Win98, office 97, pentium 200mhz mmx)Excell typically crashes, the user gets a Pagefault mso97.dll error. I searched the web for information. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling office 97, I installed the service packs 1 and 2. Excell still crashes.
any ideas?

Find all the files with acl extension and rename them except for mso97.acl

This will affect autocorrect entries in the files that you rename.
