Hi. We are having trouble with graphs in one of our book layouts. The Quark document is all done and when we send it to the printer as a pdf the tables are slightly off. The black lines that outline the graph are fine but the color blocks that represent data don't line up and it looks like bad trapping or something. The graphs have not been sized or changed in anyway, just imported directly from Excell. We are using Quark 5 on a PC and the printer is a ps printer, the same one we've been using for a couple of years with no problem. This is the first time this has happened and we can't figure it out. Please help, deadline is nearing.

I'm no expert but should this question be asked in the Quark forum on Tek-Tips?

When in the Quark forum, you need to describe what version of Quark and Distiller you are using.

Why is everyone in this forum responding to me as picklefish?

You might consider changing the graphs in a different app.

You could save the excel doc as a very high quality pdf, open it in Acrobat, save as eps and open in Illustrator or Freehand.

You could then see how that looks, do any adjustments, outline all text and strokes, save as eps and plug that into the Q5 doc.
