Excel XP not starting with default workbook

We are running Office XP on our citrix servers and when a user launches excel it loads up without a blank workbook and hangs for a minute.

On one server the default workbook launches and it starts quickly.

On the servers it does not work on administrator can launch excel without problems.

The "/e" option is not enabled on any server does anybody know why this happens?

hello

for one of the users/machines that doesnt load a blank workbook, go to folder options > view file types and then go to MS Excel. if you click on Advanced > Edit, whats the target line read? something like this?

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\blabla\EXCEL.EXE" /e /n

if it doesnt have the /e or the /n then you could try going in excel go to tools > add-ins and uncheck all, then close and open excel again.
