Excel/Word - Automatically Update Paste Special Documents

What I want to do is to e-mail a Word file to colleagues, that is linked to source data in Excel, at the start of the year, and I would like to be able to amend the excel file say.. monthly, and for the data in the Word files at the other locations to be updated automatically.
Is this possible please ?

If the Excel data in the Word document is already Linked and Word is set to Update Links on open, this should already be happening.

If the data in the Word document is then reused elsewhere in other documents, use the IncludeText field.
