Is there a function in Excel that will derive the number of times a file has been saved? What I'd like to do is to create a new version number in one of the cells every time the "Save" button is pressed, and the file will be saved with a new filename such as filename_vv.xls (where vv is this new version number) rather than overwriting the file from the previous version.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.
