Hopefully I'm in the right forum. Here is what I'm trying to do. Below is an example of the workbook, the dates are in column A. When I open an Excel workbook, I want the focus to go to the date column. Using today's date, I want the focus to go to the cell that has the date of 09/30/2014 since today is greater than 09/30/2014 and less then 10/15/2014 and if possible then highlight the entire row where the focus is.

Column A is the date
Column B is where the 4.75 value is

07/31/2014 4.75
08/15/2014 4.75
08/31/2014 4.75
09/15/2014 4.75
09/30/2014 4.75
10/15/2014 4.75
10/31/2014 4.75
11/15/2014 4.75
11/30/2014 4.75
12/15/2014 4.75
12/31/2014 4.75
01/15/2015 4.75
01/31/2015 4.75

Hope this is enough information.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

No your post is not in the correct forum. Forum68

The solution will be a simple Conditional Format, a feature of MS Excel.

BTW, there is no "focus" method for the worksheet object. The suggested CF can be used to draw attention to cells with formatting.
