When using Crystal report 7, we used Crystal Report Engine 7 object to run reports within VBA codes from an Excel application. With Crystal 9, the Automated Report Engine library is no longer supported. So we are having difficulties in opening reports from the VBA Excel application.

We have successfully used the Crystal Viewer 9 control with an Access application, which is embedded in a form. However, the viewer control is not visible from the VB Toolbox in the form design view although we made sure the the dll "Crystal Report ActiveX Desginer run time library" is referenced.

I have then tried to use the shell command that requires an .exe file, but realized that the Crystal Report distribution expert disappeared with Crystal 9.

Any suggestions to resolve the issue? Appreciate your reply. Thanks.
