Excel - Updating links

I will be re-arranging a major directory on our network, which will involve removing shares etc.

The problem i have is our users use spreadsheets with links to other sheets. These could be either through drive letters or UNC paths.

How can i update all links in spreadsheets to reflect the new path?

how is that going to update 500 excel documnets in my directory all with multipe links to other areas on the network?

I'd build a Was-Is table.

Then I'd macro record making an Edit/Replace in one sheet.

Then I'd write some code to loop thru the folder containing my workbooks to Open, loop thru each sheet, loop thru my was-is table and do my edit/replace.

Check out the FileSystemObject.
