Hello, i have an excel document with 2 columns that have the following example data:-

REF OEM
987392405 DSB52402402404240 / LR2401240574 / SOB52402402404240 / SOB524024024042
987246240 1240240196240 / 1H240615423A / 1H240615423B / 1H240615423D / 1H240615423DX / 6K240615423B / 1G240615423 / 7M240615423
etc...

I want to split the OEM to a new row and add a new id so the results look like the following:-

REF ID OEM
987392405 ALTOEM DSB52402402404240
987392405 ALTOEM2 LR2401240574
987392405 ALTOEM3 SOB52402402404240
987392405 ALTOEM4 SOB524024024042

Please can anyone show me how to do it with a macro?

many thanks

BF

Macro is VBA code, so you should ask your question in forum707

And when you do, please format your data so it is 'readable' (if that's what it is...):

[pre]
REF OEM
987392405 DSB52402402404240 / LR2401240574 / SOB52402402404240 / SOB524024024042
987246240 1240240196240 / 1H240615423A / 1H240615423B / 1H240615423D / 1H240615423DX / 6K240615423B / 1G240615423 / 7M240615423
etc...

REF ID OEM
987392405 ALTOEM DSB52402402404240
987392405 ALTOEM2 LR2401240574
987392405 ALTOEM3 SOB52402402404240
987392405 ALTOEM4 SOB524024024042

There is a great need for a sarcasm font.
