I have an excel spreadsheet with a date column - when I do the import command everything converts fine except for the date. It appears to be "calculating" the 10/10/2003 into a result. Is there a way to avoid this? Or maybe a formula to reverse the math?

Thanks

Is your Excel column set to a date format?

You are seeing the number of days since 12/30/1899. Add the number of days to that date and you'll be OK.

Excel: 12/5/2003

VFP Imports As: 37960

?{12/30/1899}+37960 = {12/5/2003}

That worked perfectly - thanks.
