Excel Templates as shared workbooks

I have developed a set of forms in excel and saved it as a template file. However when the file opens and creates the new file I would like it to open the new file as a shared workbook.

I have tried saving it as a shared workbook first and then re-saving it as a template file. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Opening a template ALWAYS creates a NEW workbook. You must then designate that workbook as shared.
