I have set up an excel worksheet which has a chart with various categories of data.

I have also set up some checkboxes which i can check/uncheck to display the data on the chart by blanking all cells for that category

Most of the data contains trendlines so when I uncheck the trendlines generates the following event

"Some trendlines cannot be calculated from data containing negative or zero values"

How can I surpress this event ONLY?

Hi,

Not without VBA code. You would need to remove the trend from series that are not displayed.

BTW, I would not recommend "blanking all cells for that category." Rather, HIDING the column or row that the data is in.

Skip,
