Hello,

I am wondering if there is an easy way to use the SUMPRODUCT formula on two tables in which not all the cells contain value (i.e. they should be ignored). For example, I have to tables, each with 10 rows and 4 columns. I would like to use the SUMPRODUCT formula on these tables, however there are certain combinations of cells that I would not like factored into the equation (i.e. cell (1,1)*(2,1)+(1,2)*(2,2)+(1,4)*(2,4) but I do not want (1,3)*(2,3) included in the equation).

Any information on this topic would be helpful.

Thank You,

jvet4,
I do not believe that Excel has a way to do that directly.

If it were my problem, I might try doing the SUMPRODUCT on the entire range and then subtracting out specific SUMPRODUCT ranges. Since I do not know your objective, I am at a loss to make any other suggestions.

Hope this helps :) Skip,

That is what I figured. I actually just ended up using 0 in the cells that I did not want to use. Although this is not the best approach, it worked in this situation.

Thanks For the Help!!
