Excel summary report 1

hello all,

I have a spreadsheet that has data imported from another program that I need to summarize. Each row of the spreadsheet has a name, release info, not released info, type of case, interview start time, and end time. I need to for each distinct name summarize the information.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Leslie,

While there are various options in Excel for summarizing data, one often overlooked but POWERFUL option is the use of Excel's "database functions".

Pivot Table will do the trick nicely I would imagine - althoughI'm sure Dale could and would produce something similar with database functions
