Hi,

I have a number of sites for column headings (across to column BE) and a number of accounts in the rows (down to row 102).

What I would like to do is to sum a range of the accounts for a selection of the site headings at the top, if the site heading matches a certain criteria; initially I thought this would be a SUMIF or a conditioanl sum, but it doesn't quite work.

For example, for the sites in columns BA to BE I would like to sum the data in rows 80 to 89 where the site matches a variable. SUMIF works perfectly for one row at a time, ie SUMIF(BA1:BE1,Site_name,BA80:BE80), but doesn't pull back the full total of the data if I change BE80 to BE89.

I would be very grateful if anyone could help me out with this.

Thanks very much

Hi walla07,

You could use something like:
=SUM(IF((BA1:BE1=Site_name)=TRUE,BA80:BE89,))

Cheers
