I have created a table in excel using Ctl+t
The headers appear filtered.
If I try to create a formula referencing the table, I get the name of the table automatically, but I cannot get the names of the columns.
=sum(tbl_Sales) the named table "tbl_sales" appears and I can use tab to autofill. But that is as far as I get.
=sum(tbl_sales[ and no dropdown. If I fill in with the column name, I get a broken formula error.
I have tried: =sum(tbl_sales[@[ no dropdown. Again, if I complete the formula with the column name, I get a broken formula error.
In design view, the header row is checked; filter button is checked and the entire range, including column names is highlighted.
It is surely something simple, but what I do not know. What am I missing?
Thank you.
