Excel - Split data out of cells 1

I have been given a Spreadsheet with hundreds of rows of data and multiple columns. My problem is that they have put multiple entries in a cell. i.e. D2, S1 C5, R4.
is there any way I can split these out to separate columns easily?

Hi,

You state that you have data like this in one column...
[tt]
D2, S1 C5, R4
[/tt]
Check out Data > Text to columns... using the DELIMITER option. I see TWO delimiters in the data example you posted: COMMA and SPACE.
