please tell me is there a possibility to create a whole system of security for an excel spreadsheet from code? mthe security system should in clude more then one levels of security. the Password should not be as part of the code or appear anywhere on the worksheet. the input password should come from an input box was asked from code

On the File menu, click Save As.
On the Tools menu, click General Options.
In the Password to open box, type a password, and then click OK.
Passwords are case sensitive. Type the password exactly as you want users to enter it, including uppercase and lowercase letters.
In the Reenter password to proceed box, type the password again, and then click OK.
Click Save.

No real need to use VBA unless you want something really sophisticated.

Protection seems to be very well documented in the Excel help files (from which I copied this), so if the above doesn't quite achieve want you want, refer to the help files! SuperBry!
