Excel s/sheet will not open. 1

I am running on win98 and have been using a password protected excel spreadsheet regularly for the past couple of years. Now it will not open. It has 5 sheets with formulae & graphs. My latest backup is pretty old but that opens okay. Anyone know how I can open it? - I get the following error message:

If you can find someone with a copy of Excel XP you can have them try the open and repair option, or you could try opening it with OpenOffice from

http://www.openoffice.org

OpenOffice is a free download, but is 60MB in size, but it is good at handling corrupted Excel file that even Excel cannot open.
