Excel Run VBA Code On Multiple Workbooks

Hi

I'm trying to do the following...

1) With a "control" workbook (call it "control.xls") I open another workbook (call it "Data.xls")

2) Data.xls then runs it's auto_open routine and downloads data and saves itself under a new name.

3) I then want to give control back to control.xls and it's vba code and run other routines.

So far I have managed 1 & 2 but can't get 3 to work...

Any ideas how I can achieve this ?

(btw the control.xls will eventually be an add-in).
