Hi guys,

I have done a .dll RTD Server to retrieve real time data in excel. All function very well in LAN. Now I want to use HTTP with DCOM. I have followed the instructions to enable CIS but my .dll doesn't function. The problem perhaps is IIS on the server. My .dll on the server doesn't start because RPCproxy perhaps can't access to my .dll.... Who knows how to configure IIS to enable DCOM over HTTP 80?

Thanks!

Hi,
I have a problem when I try to use RTD with remote server thru DCOM in LAN.
I config eveything following the document "HOWTO: Use an Excel RTD Server with DCOM(285888)" but still get "#N/A" with my RTD function. The function works okay on local machine(values can be updated by RTD), but it fails to access remote server(in LAN) to pull/push data. I've checked MSFT knowledge base but still find no solution(all the examples are good only on local machine). It seems that you have found a way to run RTD in LAN, would you please give me some instructions? An example would be very appreciated.
Sorry I didn't provide any help on your problem.(And send you a problem instead...:p)

Thanks,
Edward
