Hi,
I've come across a quirk in Excel's autofit - at least I'd call it a quirk. I merged several cells in adjacent columns to create an expanded cell, and set the word wrap property for that cell to true. Then I added text to the cell, enough to cause the cell contents to wrap (I also tried the same thing by starting a second line using alt-enter). No matter how I try, whenever I choose format-row-autofit, Excel resizes the row to single height, hiding part of its contents. Is there any way I can improve on this behavior?

Have you tried autofitting the columns first then the rows?

I don't want to autofit the columns - I want the text to wrap within the column width I have given the cell.
Besides - since I am working with a merged cell, I'm not sure how autofit would even work.

Excel has problems auto-sizing a merged cell with word wrap.
