We have had a rather complicated spreadsheet produced to which somebody (dont know why) decided to add a pane at row 65,500. (the spreadsheet content is only 450 rows) Subsequently the scroll bar takes row 65500 as part of the worksheet (really small scroll controller) Normally the scroll bar is only the length, or a little bit longer than the cells that are active (or that have been touched in some way). Since this pane has been put in , the file size has swollen to 5.5 mb.

Is there any way to 'Untouch' rows all rows beyond 500 - Tryed deleting - did nothing and also tryed clearing all from the edit menu

Please Help

Try this -

1) Delete the rows you want to delete.
2)Ensure highlighted cell is back to the top of the page
3)Create a copy of the sheet (i.e. Menu: Edit\Move or Copy Sheet...\Create a copy)

The newly created identical sheet should now not refernce the croll bar down to row 65000
