Excel question 2

Hello,
Could someone please help with an Excel question? I would like to do an "If" statement so that Box A will say "Y" or "N"(or different color, or anything similar), depending on if Box B is greater than or less than box C

Box A Box B Box C
Y 5 3
N 4 6

Is this possible in Excel?

In cell A1
=IF(B1 >C1,"Y","N")

 

[SkipVought]

OR...

you could use Format/Conditional Formatting

Condition1:
Formula Is: =B1>C1

Condition2:
Formula Is: =B1<=C1

and select a format accordingly
