I have some spread sheets that I use on a daily basis in Excel. I have to enter numbers
in columns A thru H, and rows 1 thru several hundred. Is there a way to get the highlighted cell to automaticaly move down to the next row in column A after entering column H's info? Thanks

Generally, if you beging typing in (for instance) A6, then type and tab through H6, after entering H6, hit enter and it should auto-return to A6. If you've got blank cells, just select (for instance) a2:H200, then start entering. All tabs should go to the next cell in the selected range, whether it's on the next row or not.

techsupportgirl@home.com
<a href=
Thanks for your help Dreamboat. However, it works ok as I continue to use the same row. But I wish to simply move from one row down to the next row, and then back to column "A". Example: I wish to move from cell # H10 to cell # A11. When i hit "TAB", I move one cell to the right. When I hit "Enter", I move one cell down, but not to column 'A". You mentioned to select the cells?...How do I do that?...
Thanks again...

You could also write a small VBA routine to monitor cell activity. Then, whether you move down a row or leave column H, the program can set focus to column A on the next row.

If you highlight the range you're going to be in, you can tab from "H10" to "A11." Say you highlight a range from A1 to C10. You start entering data at address A1, then tab through the row entering data. When you reach A10, then tab, you will move to B1, as long as the range remains highlighted during your data entry...
