I have a speadsheet with two columns in, and I would like to do a stats worksheet. Example of the two columns are as follows:

Operator Status
Donald Duck Quote
Donald Duck Bound
Mickey Mouse Quote
Donald Duck Quote

In the stats page I would like to show the number of Quotes quoted by Donald Duck, which in this case would be 2. Would it just be a case of a nested IFCOUNT formula? If so how would it look? Sorry never done an IFCOUNT before?

Cheers

second that - pivot table would do the job well and very quickly

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

eh, I'll third that! This is classic Pivot Table data analysis!! They're different to get used to, but you'll love 'em in the end. ;-)
