I have two large columns of server names. I need to compare the columns and conditionally format duplicate items in each list. However because of the amount and variety of information the duplicate items will most likely not be in the same row, even if sorted, so I would need it to look at every cell in column B for a match to each cell in column A. Can this be done simply in excel?

look in hel pfor VLOOKUP

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.
