Hi,

I was wondering, if I have all my templates for office on a server, where can I modify the path in Excel so it searches for templates on the server?

I managed to fix it in Word, but excel and all other office products are a different story

Plzz a lil help
thx

I don't know if this will help, but this is what I could find on storing templates:

Guidelines for storing templates
Storing default workbook and worksheet templates
Store the default templates for new workbooks and worksheets in the XLStart folder, which is usually
C:\os\Profiles\user_name\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLStart
where os is the operating system folder — for example, Windows. If you've created a template named Book.xlt or Sheet.xlt and saved it in the XLStart folder, Microsoft Excel uses the template to create new default workbooks or to insert new worksheets when you click Worksheet on the Insert menu. To use templates stored on a network file location, you can specify that location as the alternate startup folder. Custom templates stored in the XLStart folder or the alternate startup folder appear on the General tab in the New dialog box (File menu).

Storing custom templates
Save custom workbook templates you create in the Templates folder, which is usually
C:\os\Profiles\user_name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates
where os is the operating system folder — for example, Windows. Template (.xlt) files you save in the Templates folder are displayed on the General tab in the New dialog box (File menu). Built-in templates are displayed on the Spreadsheet Solutions tab. To group your custom templates on a separate tab, save the templates in a subfolder in the Templates folder. Any Excel workbook (.xls) file you save in the Templates folder or one of its subfolders also acts as a template.

If you are using Microsoft Windows 95 or later, or Microsoft Windows NT version 4.0 or later, you can make a custom template available to others by storing the template on a network location. For example, you might want all users in your workgroup to use a custom template for a special project without having to place individual copies of the template on each desktop. Instead, place the template in a folder in a network location that is accessible by all users in your group. Then create a shortcut to the folder or template, and have users place the shortcut in their Templates folder.
