Hi there,

In an excel document, is there a way to keep track of how many times a document has been printed, so that on the printed sheet it would say something like "Print Number 3". Then if i printed it again the sheet would read "Print Number 4" etc

Many Thanks

Kevin

hi
there may be a way of doing this without vba but if there is i'm not aware of it.

using vba (and i've never done this s it's just the beginning of a solution) you could use the beforepring event of the workbook to store up a number, either in a worklsheet or a custom property. then this number can be added into the header/footer using the pagesetup method of the relevant worksheet(s)

VERY roughly

range("a1")=range("a1") + 1
activesheet.pagesetup.leftfooter="printed " & range("a1") & " times"

;-)
