I am trying to sort a field in a pivot table. The field values are: '< 24 hours', '1-7 days', '8-14 days', '15-30 days', '> 30 days'.
I have only been able to figure out how to sort by asc or des, neither are helpful or what I am looking for. I want to sort either from top to bottom or reverse '< 24 hrs' to '> 30 days'.
I did this on another spreadsheet but for the life of me I cannot figure out how I did it.

I think you will need to change the field values.

01-07 days
08-14 days
over 30 days

The other two are ok.

The basic problems are that < and > both sort before numbers and letters; an alphabetic sort will bring 1-7 and 15-30 before 8-14.

The only other approach is to rebuild the pivot from scratch and ensure that the raw data is in your preferred sort order. With a bit of luck Excel should then build the pivot in that order.

If those are the only field values, then why dont you just drag and drop them, the same way you would be moving a normal cell without using cut/paste?
