Excel Pivot Charts

I have set up a pivot chart using the output of an advanced filter and the x axis of the chart is dates.

on some choices of data the dates on the x axis are displayed out of chronological order all though the base data is sorted in date order and the ouput of advanced filter comes out in correct chronological order.
