Hi All - I've designed a monthly diary sheet (excel spreadsheet) where people enter the amount of hours done with differing clients & at differing prices. I have a table with hours v's Band/ Rate & all the differing prices( simple x-y co-ordinates ) The person using the spreadsheet can select the Band/ Rate then enter the hours for each client. I would like to associate the relevant price going on the given parameters by looking up the table & present the data in another cell. I've tried most of the Lookup & reference functions in the Paste Function table but cannot find the answer which I think should be pretty easy!

Many Thanks & regards.

kilt,

If you're still in need of a solution, I'm prepared to help out. My recommendation would be to offer to email the file, as it normally saves MUCH time and effort - at both ends. If data sensitivity is a concern, perhaps you could reduce the size of the file and replace sensitive data with fictitious data.

Hope this can help.
