Excel Opening File - Urgent

Hi there,

We have an urgent problem. We are using Windows 98 and Office 97. MS Excel launches ok and when you go to file > open you can open any Excel file on the local or network drives.
However, when you go into Windows Explorer and attempt to launch the file from there it comes up with a 'cannot find the file (path name) make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available'
I have checked the file types and it is ok in there. Any ideas please?

You will have to go through registering Excel again. To do that, here are the steps:

1. Quit Excel and all other programs.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. Type excel /unregserver, and then click OK.
4. Click Start, and then click Run.
5. Type excel /regserver, and then click OK.
6. Start Excel.
7. Quit Excel.
