Hi all,i dont normally use excel as i have no need for it but a new office project has forced me to use it so im feeling my way!!.

Im simply creating simple data spreadsheets with text or numbers in each cell, nothing tricky..
so then, for example, if i create a sheet which has say, rows 1 to 10 down the left hand side and maybe 8 columns along the top.

i then decide that instead of data cells across row 1 at the top,i want to slot in a heading or line of text so i need to move all the rows down one,,how do i do it please??

thanks

joe

Make any cell in Row 1 active. Go to Insert, Row. "A married man should forget all his mistakes. There is no point in two people remembering the same thing."

Right click row number 1 (lierally, the grey area with "1" on it) and select insert.
