I have got a workbook, that I created a macro in. When ever i load the workbook it comes up and says "this contains macros diasble, enable, cancel" I have since deleted the macro from the workbook (tools, macro, delete) and it still comes up and says that there is a macro in there. How can I get rid of the dam thing?

I have seen this problem before. You would think that by removing the macros, Microsoft would know that there are gone. I solved this by copying all of the sheets into a new workbook and saving the file.

Go to Tools > Macro > Visual Basic Editor. From the editor select View > Project Explorer. Under VBAProject (workbook name.xls) open Modules. Right click Module1 (or whatever the name may be) and select Remove. Click No when prompted to export the module.

Save the workbook and your error should go away.

woo hoo no more macro in my file, thanks a lot that is a great help.

Hello, I also have this problem with one workbook, even though I deleted all the macros. I followed SnyderJ's advice, but in Project Explorer view, under VBAProject(workbook name) there is no Modules option. Any other thoughts? Thank you!
