Hi,

i've got a problem with a Excel sheet i'm trying to protect.

I've put an example of what i'n trying to do at a free webhost. You can find it here:

http://njit.angelcities.com/Problem.xls

Only the yellow cells are unlocked.
After protecting the sheet and hitting ENTER in the yellow cells marked with * , the application crashes. (be sure to SAFE everything you have open first!!!)

See also the AUT_OPEN macro.

Hope someone has a clue about what happens...

Kind regards,

Njit

Njit,

Not sure what is causing your problem. I downloaded your workbook and tested according to your instructions: No crashes, no errors. [ponder]

Mike,

what version of MS Excel do you use? Ans what OS?

i've tested it it on a Win98 SE / NT4 machine with Excel 97 and it crashed both machines.
