I would like to say thank you in advance to anyone that can help a novice like myself. I posted a thread (961-738147) a while ago dealing with trying to import multiple Excel files from a network folder. At the time the issue was a lower priority and I kept being pulled off of it to work on "fires". I am now able to devote the needed time to address this issue. The post that I received from my first thread was very helpful, but I have been struggling with the linked server portion. At first I thought I had a syntax issue in my stored procedure. After reading about it and messing around with it the last two day I tried to create a Linked Server from the Enterprise Manager. It looks like it works, but when I try to access the tables for the Linked Server I get...

Error 7303: Could not initialize data source object of OLD DB provider 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0'

The only think I could find about this error on the MS site deals with linking to Access, not Excel. Can anyone help me figure out what is going on?

Thank You,

sabloomer
