Why is it that the legends for my graphs sometimes show ALL the values in a column?? For example, if my column names are "9/3/02", "10/3/02", and "11/10/02" the legend SHOULD and sometimes shows only these in the legend. However, sometimes the keys in the legend will be like, as one example- "9/3/02 200 300 432 404 500 203 433" ... instead of just "9/3/02"

Eh?? Can you describe the data. Some of the legends "disappear" because of the size of the graph itself and whether (depending on the size and type of the font), the legends can all be shown.

But I am confused about your problem. Further information may help.

Thanks.

My first column is labeled "Description", these items will dilineate the x-axis- so it has descriptions. The second-fourth column have column headers labeled with dates in mm/dd/yy format. Basically, my table is an inventory with the item descriptions going down the first column and the amount of each item at different dates in columns 2-4. My problem is that instead of just showing the column HEADERS in my leged (i.e. just showing "9/3/02", etc.) the legend shows the whole column in the legend for each colored square in the legend. So if column 2 is labeled "9/3/02" and has the numbers 9, 10, 2, 3, 2 going down the column, I need to only have a colored square in the legend with a label "9/3/02" for each bar. HOWEVER, I get a label with "9/3/02 9 10 2 3 2" for the colored key square in the legend.
