Excel - large file not updating cells

Hi,

I have a problem with an Excel 97 (sr2) file. File consists of 115 w/sheet and is approx 3Mb in size. file also has a link to a second Excel file (much smaller).

The file is a business model with many formula (mainly sum type) that link to variable parameters in a given cells.

The problem being that if the parameter is changed EG expectation changed to 85% or $100.00 in a source cell. the many related cells however DO NOT update to the new value.

there are some macros but these are related to print and presentation not formulae calculations


And I have checked options to ensure manula calc is not set.

what happens when you hit f9?

SCHAT,

F9 recalc, no change as such. I have checked the settings.

I will go through the motion of diabloe and renable auto recalc and shall also tryy ctrl + alt f9 and see.
