Every once in a while I hit a keystroke combination in Excel 2007 that opens a new outlook email and puts a cell's formula in the email's to address. I have not been able to figure out what I hit that causes this. Any hints?

I had a similar sort of problem. Windows media Player kept on firing up for no reason, and with no consistency I could see, and then I found the reason. My laptop has a bunch of touch-sensitive OEM 'keys' supposedly to make using the computer as a CD player easy or something - and I was unwittingly resting a loose finger on them. Anyway, could it be something similar?

Enjoy,
Tony

Tony,

This is a standard keyboard without any custom keys or macros assigned to key combinations. This happens when working in a spreadsheet with or without Outlook open. I looked through the Excel Option thinking it was some integration between the two application, but could not find anything.

Thanks,
Don

If Outlook is your default mail program, then the following key combinations may open Outlook or components of Outlook (such as address book) in various stages of e-mail composing

SHIFT+TAB; ALT+S; CTRL+SHIFT+B; ALT+O;
ALT+P; ALT+K; ALT+PERIOD; ALT+C; ALT+B;
ALT+J; CTRL+SHIFT+G; ALT+A
