I have a pivot table where I have specified Max as the total data for a column.

I want to sum those Max results in the grand total.

Is there a way to do this short of copying and pasting values of my existing pivot and then creating a new pivot?

Hi,

Make a calculated formula for MAX and then SUM the calculated formula.

Thanks skip, can you give me the kindergarden version... I'm only a couple weeks into playing with pivot tables.

lameid,

I don't know if this is what Skip meant, but I just add formulas below my PT's for additional information: column sums, counts, averages, etc.

I your case, do the PT as you have, with MAX as the function. Somewhere below (or above or wherever you want it) add a formula that sums all the maxes.

Good Luck!

I was not able to do what I thought I could do.

I'd try using MS Query to do the aggregations.

DOLT! Thanks Skip... Get the data the way I want it before exporting from Access (or rather fudge it to work with Excel). I hate it when people can only understand things exactly one way like Excel. :)
