Hi

I'm trying to fill a time column in Excel as follows

19:58
19:59
20:00
21:01
21:02

Is there an easy way to do this rather than typing each line for a 24 hour period?

Have a look at the AutoFill method.

Hope This Helps, PH.

The fill handle will do all the work for you if you fill in the first 2 cells 0:01 0:02, and pull down. It took me 5 seconds to fill 24 hours ( 1439 cells ).

Cheers, Glenn.

Thanks but the autofill does the following

0:01
0:02
0:03 <- start drag
1:03
2:03
3:03

Ok did it

Col A 0001
Col B =TIMEVALUE(IF(A3<1000, LEFT(A3,1),LEFT(A3,2))&":"&RIGHT(A3,2))

With autofill:

00:01 | <- select 00:01 and 00:02
00:02 _| <- and start drag
00:03
00:04

combo

Like combo said. ( which I should have clarified, of course, d'oh!!! )

Cheers, Glenn.
