I don't know how they're called exactly but I want to create a grid chart that looks like a cross (+) and data emerges from left, right, up and down. Does anybody know how this is done?

Thanks everyone

Not sure you can do this in a snigle chart. You may need to build up the entire picture using multiple charts (i.e. one chart for each quadrant).

If I understand your question right, then yes, you can do it with a little bit of trickery. You need to draw a stacked chart and then change the colours of the individual stacks to achieve what you desire.

Another way may be to plot area charts that will give you the same result.

A stack chart is a bar chart with the bars stacked. If you format you data properly and format the bars of the chart with either fill or no fill, I could see how such a technique could be achieved. Skip,
