Hi
Just doing a timesheet which gives total hours spent in a week - then adds the weekly hours to give total for the month. Needless to say this ends up at over 24 hours - that's more than one day so it gives the wrong answer.

I've formatted the 'time' cells as hh:mm - guess maybe that's wrong? I figure I could make the time cells just a 'number' and manually change the hours to minutes - but that still leaves me wondering how I then end up with the number of hours and minutes at the end of the month?

I'm sure someone out there knows how I am supposed to have done it!

To help you understanding things better, look at the Excel help on 'About dates and date systems'. You will see that date are stored as integers and time as fractions. For example if you just put a time in and change the format to "dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm" you will see that the date will default to 01/01/1990. If you need more specific help, come back here.
