I have protected a number of cells within an excel worksheet, so that other users cannot alter the formula. I think there is a way to restrict them actually seeing the formula in these protected cells, but I can't work out how.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just go to Tools - Options - View
Untick formula bar
If the sheet is protected, all they'll be able to see isd the value#

Thanks geoff

I found an alternative - using the format - cell protection - hidden. that way i don't have to hide the formula bar for all cells.
