Hello everyone

Excel 7
I have a large pivot table where the summaries are grouped by a hesing such as a site or location. There may be several members in a site. There are probably 4 or 5 different sites. The contents of the site may span a number of pages. I have a page header that I want followed by the current site on each page for readability of the print out. It seems to work when I adjust the expand/collapse options but when look again at the print preview it has disappeared.

Is there a way to get this dynamic sub heading to persist.

thanks

Michael

hi,

Page Layout > Page Setup > Print titles

In the Page Setup SHEET tab assign the ROWS TO REPEAT AT TOP and or COLUMNS TO REPEAT AT LEFT

Hello Skip

Your solution works with literal labels. What I am after is the dynamic output of a subgroup. I don't think the print title covers this but would be pleased to be corrected on this

An example

I have a list of contacts in several towns, each part of a total listing

A list of streets in New York would span more than 1 page but I would want New York to appear at the top of every page and under the print heading until all the relevant items had been printed. The next page would include the name of the next town.

thanks

Michael

So let me understand.

You may have a 10 page PT, where pages 1-7 might be New York and 8-10 might be Albany. If that is your scenario, I beleive yer up the creek withour a paddle.

Hello Skip

If I switch to the Classic Pivot Display and refresh data on opening it appears to work.

thanks

Michael

Heck, I'd use Classic without fail.
