Is their a way to freeze rows in excel (these rows are like my column headers) while I use the auto filter functionality in Excel? I am trying to keep these headings viewable after I use the auto filter command. The problem that I am having is that after I use the autofilter command it brings up all the rows with my selected filter choice and it does not display my column headers. Please Help!

Freeze the heading rows first.

Excel works best with the 1st row as headings and the 2nd row is the first record of your data.

If you're using more than one row for headings, use Alt-Enter to create a paragraph return inside of a cell. Brainbench MVP for Microsoft Word

The other way of freezing rows is to split the screen/worksheet you are working on.

The top right hand side of the active worksheet just above the "UP" arrow on the scroll bar allows you to split the screen. If you click on it and drag it downwards to the height of the first row (or as many rows as you wish), it will stay static whether you are autofiltering or not.

That should give you the desired result.
