I have a spreadsheet with the following info:

Status Date Reported Last Resolved Date Month
Closed 1/2/2008 6/23/2008 June
Open 1/2/2008 January
Assigned 3/23/2008 March
Resolved 2/23/2008 7/21/2008 July

I want to be able to create a formula so that if you take the first number of the month in either the Date Reported and/or Last Resolved Date then in the Months column the name of the month will popup automatically.

I hope this makes sense.

Maybe:
Code:
=IF(C2<>"",TEXT(C2,"mmm"),TEXT(B2,"mmm"))

Cheers, Glenn.
