Hello Folks,

I am battling to get a formula right.

Below is an example of my table
Demographics Switzerland France Netherlands
Population 7,489,370 60,656,178 16,407,491
Aged 15-64 5,092,909 39,537,181 11,118,809
Unemployment 3.40% 10.10% 6%
Official Languages German French Dutch
French Frisian
Italian
Literacy 99% 99% 99%
Inflation Rate 0.90% 2.30% 1.40%
Internet Users 2556000 21900000 8500000

From the above data I want to create a second table. I need to find the Max of each row and if it is the Max is true I need to replace the true value with the countries name linked to that column. From this I will deduce which city is best suited for an event that needs to be held.

Your help is much appreciated.

Regards
Thomas

Well, here's the formula:
Code:
=INDEX($B$1:$D$1,MATCH(1,RANK(B2:D2,B2:D2),0))

Are you really sure you should look for MAX of each row ... I mean, is that going to be a good thing for Inflation for example?

Cheers, Glenn.
